eHranilnik je primeren za suho in polsuho hrano.
Mobilni telefon in eHranilnik se povezujeta preko domačega Wi-fi omrežja (2,4 GHz – 802.11 b/g/n wireless router). Kompatibilno z iPhone, iPod z iOS 9.0 ali več, android telefoni verzije 6.0 ali več. eHranilnik lahko povežete z večimi mobilnimi telefoni in tako vsem družinskim članom omogočite, da (seveda po medsebojnem dogovoru) skrbijo za svojega ljubljenčka. Ravno tako velja obratno. Z enim mobilnim telefonom se lahko povezujete z večimi eHranilniki, če imate več kosmatincev, ki uživajo različno hrano. Ali živijo v različnih hišah.
V eHranilniku je prostora za 24 obrokov (5,678 ml) suhe ali polsuhe hrane. Dnevno se lahko sprogramira 12 obrokov velikosti od 29 ml do 946 ml.
Če imate doma hišnega ljubljenčka, ki hrano prehitro uživa, mu lahko s pomočjo manjših obrokov v roku 15 minut preprečite to nezdravo navado.
dHranilnik omogoča tudi, da svojemu psu ali mucku »postrežete« na zahtevo s pritiskom na gumb.
Skodelica, ki je montirana v plastični okvir in se zato ne more prevrniti, je izdelana iz nerjaveče pločevine. Vsi deli, ki so ob uporabi v stiku s hrano, se lahko čistijo v pomivalnem stroju.
Vgrajena baterija eHranilnika se polni preko AC adapterja - napajalnika, za rezervno pa se uporabljajo še 4x D baterije (niso priložene paketu) .

The unique design of the Smart Feed’s food conveyor dispenses most shapes and sizes of dry and semi-moist food while helping to prevent jams. Meals can be scheduled for up to 12 times daily in sizes from 1/8 cup (29 ml) to 4 cups (946 ml) per meal. The optional Slow Feed setting dispenses meals in small amounts over 15 minutes for pets who tend to eat too quickly. The Feed Now option lets you serve a meal on demand any time from the app or with the push of a pet-proof button on the feeder. The included stainless steel bowl with a removable holder prevents your pet from tipping or moving the bowl. These components and the upper compartment where food is added are all dishwasher safe, top rack only. The automatic pet feeder includes an AC power adapter and has a backup battery option using 4 D batteries (not included).
